OUR LOGO

We felt it essential to develop a name and logo to distinguish ourself from other companies and have a clear brand. This also allows us to be more professional and to create credits for out film trailer.

How did we come up with the name 'Chrome Pictures'?

We felt the meaning of the name into account was essential and the fact it needs to correlate with the genre we chose. At the moment we are fond to explore theatrical Social Realism trailer for our final cut.

We began to look at interesting adjectives to use in order to make our production company stand out, however we also wanted our company to be dominant and signify power. This is where we came up with using 'Chrome Pictures'.

When/where will our logo feature?

We will use our logo on most of our promotional material, including the trailer itself, poster and written coursework.

We used a free logo creator to explore all the possible ways of writing Chrome Pictures and possible symbols we could tie in. We created these two logos to use on different products depending on space.

OUR NARRATIVE

DOGME 95

Dogme 95 was a film movement made by danish directors in 1995, made to 'purify' film making and designed to avoid things such as predictable plots and superficial action.
the rules that the films have to conform to are called the vow's of chastity:

Dogme 95 rules

1. filming has to be done on locations, only props that would be found there can be used
2. music cannot be used unless it occurs in the scene
3. must be hand held camera work
4. filming has to be done in colour no special lighting
5. optical work and filter cannot be used
6. no superficial action
7. no temporal or geographical alienation
8. no genre movies
9. aspect ratio must be 4:3 no widescreen
10. the director cannot be credited.

Some social realist films are loosely relate-able to dogme 95 rules  such as filming being done on location, superficial action and hand held camera work which is something that i may keep in mind when it comes to planning my film trailer.
