SCRIPT

we decided to only have a short dialogue at the beginning of our trailer to set the mood and tone of our product, showing instantly that there is danger ahead. We plan to have a shot of Emma and Jack walking into the party together from the car while this dialogue is playing in order to link the voices to characters as well as the accident to the car.

MALE:- 999 Whats your emergency?
EMMA:- *flustered mumbling* He's dead
MALE:- Can i confirm your location? Madam?

FILM AGE RATING

When releasing a new film or trailer it is vital that the correct age rating is provided. Too young and your production company may be criticised for being irresponsible, too old and you will loose potential customers.

Our Trailer Contains:
-Alcohol and Drug abuse
- Mild Violence
 -Mild Graphic Images

Therefore we have decided to rate our film trailer at an age 15 certificate.

WEBSITE DESIGN

While creating the website we wanted to keep it minimalistic but also use the photos we had used for the the poster as brand cohesion was an important factor for us. this means that it would be easy to tell that they are from the same film and genre rather than looking completely different.

FILM POSTER

This is our final copy of our poster for Inertia, we used three photos which were taken while filming which were then edited in photoshop and composed together on Word, using the transparency tool so that each image was visible.

SOUND

When choosing our music we wanted something that would be representative of the music that teenagers and the characters in our film listen too, choosing this bass track from a royalty free youtube page.

after showing an audience our trailer and receiving their feedback, we found that they felt like the music needed to be changed due to the lack of climax in the music to match our action. We found from the research that we needed either two pieces of music to merge into one to show different moods and atmospheres in the trailer, or we needed a piece of music that changed itself.

We chose this royal free piece as it starts slow which we can match with our longer shots and then gradually speeds up which worked well with our fast paced cuts and short shots in the crash. This music helps us demonstrate the equilibrium and disruption stages in our narrative. We received further audience feedback after making this change and found that people thought this track was much more effective in the way it portrayed the different moods between scenes.

FILM TRAILER WARNING

On release of our trailer we must ensure that an content warning is provided. This will inform our audience that the trailer they are about to watch contains potentially offensive and graphic content.

FILM NAME

Our film title is inertia, we origionally planned to call it DR10, after the police code used to explain a car crash. We decided to change our title to inertia as we felt it better described our film and that DR10 was too short and blunt.

'the property of matter by which it retains its state of rest or its velocity along a straight line so long as it is not acted upon by an external force.'
'inertness, especially with regard to effort, motion, action, and the like; inactivity; sluggishness.' We grew on this idea as we thought these would be the similar feelings our main protagonist (Emma) would hold after the car crash as a result of guilt and underlying depression.
